This vocal setting captures both the inward pain and understated beauty of Sylvia Plath's iconic poem from her posthumous collection Ariel. As the vocals express the text's intense psychological journey the guitar, utilizing rhythmic and harmonic textures, establishes the scene while the flute lends a subtle yet dramatic counterpoint.
