The Imani Winds on
selecting a composer's music to perform:

For Imani Winds, it's not just about playing whatever comes its way. Whether selecting a composer to commission or a piece of music to play, for this group it's either unanimous or it's not at all. "Our first priority is to have a composer we - and I do mean all five of us - like. We cannot have even one person feel even slightly wishy-washy about it"
